Reading the site

You can read stories without creating an account or giving us personal information.

- Text-size preference. If you use the text size controls, your choice is stored in your browser's local storage on your device. We do not send it to our servers. - Visitor identifier for reactions. If you press Love, we set a random cookie named bbr_visitor. It contains no name or account. We store only a keyed (hashed) form of it, so that we can prevent repeated reactions. - Security and delivery. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses and request details to deliver, secure and protect the site. We use keyed hashes of IP addresses for rate limiting and do not store raw IP addresses in our database.
