Content Warning Policy

BBR Originals publishes stories about difficult experiences. Many of them contain material that some readers may find distressing, or that may be difficult to read if you have lived through something similar.

How we label stories

- Each story lists the content warnings that apply to it, shown above the story text. - Warnings are applied to a story only where the story contains the material. We do not attach every warning to every story. - A warning describes what appears in the story. It does not describe the story's outcome or moral. - If a story is added or changed, its warnings are updated before it is published.

Our approach

We write about harm with seriousness. We do not romanticise abuse, we do not excuse harmful behaviour, and we do not make reconciliation the only acceptable ending. If a story depicts abuse, we aim to show its real consequences.

If a story affects you

You can stop reading at any time. You do not need to finish a story. If a story brings up something difficult, consider talking to someone you trust, a qualified professional, or a local support service.

[Add credible support resources for readers here, for example national or regional support organisations and emergency guidance. No organisations or telephone numbers have been added yet. Confirm each resource before adding it.]
